We are very pleased to report the building contract to construct Elysian Subiaco has now been agreed with BGC Construction. BGC Construction have a proven track record of delivering luxury apartments in the Western Suburbs having constructed Eden West and Blackburn’s Essence Claremont which both won the UDIA award for excellence in their respective years (2020 and 2021). BGC is one of Western Australia’s leading construction firms and we are very pleased to be working with them to deliver Elysian Subiaco.
In preparation of BGC commencing on site in August we have now completed demolition on site. The piling contractor has also been engaged and construction of the piling cages has commenced. The earthworkers will be looking to mobilise on site in the coming weeks to prepare the platforms around the perimeter of the site. These platforms provide the level base for the piling rig which will then work its way around the perimeter of the site installing the piles that will form the basement walls.
Ahead of the piling rig commencing on site, purchasers can still take advantage of the State Government stamp duty rebate scheme that offers a 50% rebate of the stamp duty payable on the purchase to a maximum of $50,000. We are very pleased to be announcing construction commencement is imminent. Market conditions in Perth and the rest of the country continue to be extremely challenging, however we firmly believe this ultimately bodes well for the fundamentals of the market with new supply being extremely limited as population growth returns to more normal levels.
