I’m extremely pleased to announce that we officially topped out the building in November. This is a huge achievement and is a testament to our builder, BGC Construction, for keeping the project on time in what continues to be a very challenging construction environment.
The main structural achievements during the month were the forming and pouring of the 5th floor slab and the roof slab. Looking forward to next month the structural focus will be on forming and pouring all of the internal fire stairs which link each floor.
Internally, fitout works continued from basement 2 up to 2nd floor. With good progress being made by all of the service trades, including the window frames installed and a majority of the walls closed up.
The 3rd floor had the majority of its props removed, which permitted the wall framing to commence. The 4th floor will have its props removed during December and the 5th floor early next year.
The service trades will continue to make their way up the building during December with the aim to have made good progress internally up to the 4th floor by Christmas.
