Hive Apartments Development Update – January 2016
The builder continued to push very hard throughout the Christmas and New Year period, which has resulted in dramatic progress being made across both halves of the building.
In the rear half of the building the tilers have completed tiling the kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and balconies. The kitchens have also been installed across all of the apartments.
The painters have also been through all of the apartments and have completed the painting. The air conditioning units have arrived and will be installed next week. Hanging of the apartments’ internal doors will also start next week.
In the front half of the building all of the walls and ceilings have been sheeted and they are currently being flushed. This has allowed the installation of the kitchens to commence with the majority of them partially installed.
The tilers are now focusing on this half of the building and they have already tiled all of the bathrooms and laundries and are now focusing on the balconies.
Externally the scaffolding is slowly coming down which is allowing us to see for the first time what the building’s front façade is going to look like.
The builder is still confident they will be able to achieve practical completion around late February with settlements to occur 6 to 8 weeks after that.
