June 2023 Celsius Land Update

Project Updates

At Lot 102 Arabian Court, Champion Lakes the urban water management plan and traffic advice is currently underway with detailed civil engineering design to soon commence.  Following the completion of the detailed engineering design a decision will be made on whether to proceed to tendering the civil works.

At Jayes Road, Piara Waters, the stage 1 earthworks are progressing well and are due for completion in August 2023. The civil design for stage 1 is currently out for tender and closes on 29 June. Marketing and sales preparation work is underway for a sales release in September / October this year.

Construction of stage 2 of the apartments at 21 Cooyou Close, Exmouth is progressing well with completion of the final 10 apartments expected in late July this year.

In Dunsborough East, Celsius is project managing the development of 26 hectares of land which has been identified for urban development. Celsius and the landowner group are finalising their community consultation in June / July prior to preparing the initial concept plan for the project.

Recent changes to Town Planning and Cultural Heritage Regulations

Celsius continued to consult with builders and town planners regarding the impacts of the Medium Density codes on its land development projects during the month of June.  Following this review Celsius is now liaising with local councils and implementing planning measures to ensure a smooth transition from the current planning codes between now and 1 September 2025, when the transition period ends.

Celsius is currently assessing the impacts of the new Aboriginal Heritage regulations on its projects, which were gazetted on 30 May 2023 and come into effect on 1 July 2023. Further information is still being released by the Department of Planning Lands and Heritage leading up to 1 July which will be reviewed in the coming weeks.
