March 2023 Celsius Land Project Update
The Champion Lakes local structure plan was relodged in March with discussions continuing with the Department of Planning Lands and Heritage in regard to its approval. During the month the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation approved the Local Water Management Strategy for the plan.
At Piara Waters the stage 1 earthworks contract has been awarded with works gearing up to commence onsite in early April. Development adjacent to the project is continuing with the CY O’Connor Pub having just re-opened, the Piara Waters Senior High School opened in February and the new IGA shopping centre due to open later this year. Celsius Land is continuing to refine the lot sizes in the development based on the inquiry received.
In Exmouth Celsius Land is project managing the construction of 24 apartments and villas which are leased to PHI International. The project is targeting occupation of the first 13 villas in mid April 2023 with final works underway for this to occur. Having signed a building contract in July 2022, local builder DLR Construction (and their team of subcontractors), have done an excellent job in attracting and accommodating local trades in Exmouth at a time when there is limited accommodation in town. The assistance from the ‘local’ authorities has also been amazing with staff from the Shire of Exmouth, Water Corporation and Horizon Power all working towards a common goal of providing accommodation in the town.
Early planning and due diligence work is also progressing for two well-located land projects in regional Western Australia.
