Reimagined North Perth Development Out For Public Comment

Celsius Developments is pleased to announce that we have now lodged a new planning application for 387 Fitzgerald Street, North Perth.  We have gone back to the drawing board and have incorporated feedback received from the community and other key stakeholders on our previous application.  We have listened, and our team has diligently reimagined the plans, resulting in a significant reduction in building height and reduced bulk and scale as well as a substantial decrease in peak hour traffic generated by the development.

At the heart of our new proposal is the vibrant contribution to the North Perth town centre that contextually fits within the existing surrounds, providing hospitality venues and open space accessible to the entire community and exceptional amenity for residents within and surrounding the development. We envisage Alma Road becoming the new heart of the town centre of North Perth with north orientated alfresco dining connected to a future redeveloped shopping centre.

Above the ground floor, the development will offer a diverse range of thoughtfully designed apartment types, catering to the varied preferences of the North Perth community. Boasting exemplary residential amenities, including a luxurious swimming pool, well-equipped gym, rejuvenating sauna and a captivating residents’ lounge with breathtaking panoramic city views, this development will set an unmatched standard for apartment living in North Perth.

Key features and improvements include:

  • Reinvigoration of North Perth’s town centre and shopping precinct.
  • North facing alfresco dining on Alma Road to create a vibrant hospitality hub.
  • 104 studio, 1, 2, 3 and 4 bed apartments delivering genuine housing choice to North Perth.
  • 45 public car parking bays on site with two-hour free parking and 14 dedicated residential visitor bays.
  • Pedestrian friendly design with generous accessible sidewalks, outdoor seating, bicycle parking, public art and nature spaces.
  • Building height reduced to 9 levels on the corner of Alma Rd & Fitzgerald St and 6 levels on the corner of Raglan Rd & Fitzgerald St, whilst stepping down to 3 levels toward the western ROW. 40% of the development at 3-storeys or less.
  • Scaled back, ground floor retail reducing peak traffic movements by 56% from previous application.
  • ROW widened to provide an 8.5m separation to the western neighbours including a green buffer of trees.
  • All truck loading including waste collection located within the ground floor carpark in dedicated enclosed loading bays.
  • All building setbacks meet or exceed existing planning controls and overshadowing is compliant as per the design codes.
  • 60 new trees will be planted, significantly increasing the existing tree canopy.
