The story behind Lucent Claremont

Over the last few months you would have heard me talk about and seen the ads for our newest development Lucent Claremont, a boutique development of only 40 apartments that overlooks the historic Claremont Oval and Lake Claremont Golf Course.

In anticipation for the official launch in Late October I wanted to give you some background into how the concept behind Lucent was born…

From feedback that we have received from clients and the buying community over the years, we realised there was a gap in the downsizer market and we wanted to address this. When children move out of the family home many people find they are left with a house that is too big. However, when looking to ‘right-size’, it is difficult for these buyers to find a property that still allows them to enjoy their desired lifestyle.

But we weren’t looking to just design the development ourselves, we invited interested buyers to have direct input into the architectural & aesthetic aspects of their luxury apartment by working alongside Celsius Developments & Hillam Architects. This “Design Your Own Apartment” campaign ran from April to August and was a great success in gaining invaluable insight into what the Perth downsizer market really want in their dream home.

Buyers could configure their own generously sized 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom or Penthouse apartment to suit their specific needs and tastes. The following quote is from one of our Lucent buyers…

Special attention was also paid to ensure that Lucent Claremont residents can enjoy the benefits of right-sized living while retaining the lifestyle they are accustomed to. For example, guests can be entertained in the second-floor Residents’ Retreat. Featuring a range of creature comforts such as a chef-grade kitchen and personalised wine cabinet, as well as access to an adjacent landscaped terrace and decked outdoor areas overlooking Claremont Oval.

Creating a sense of community by encouraging ‘incidental encounters’ and conversations with fellow residents in communal spaces such as the entertaining deck or herb garden was another focal point of the design.

Located on Davies Road only 350m from Claremont’s superb café and restaurant precinct, this exciting, new, bespoke development was unanimously supported by the Town of Claremont council and received Development Approval on 31 July 2018.

Although the Design Your Own Apartment campaign has ended the invaluable insights from the campaign participants have been incorporated into the final apartment plans which will be officially released in late October 2018.
