Victoria Park’s new iconic landmark nears completion

On the 7th August we launch our VQIP program in the lead up to the completion of the Vic Quarter Apartments in Victoria Park, which will be completed at the end of September.

This iconic building situated on the famed kidney shaped roundabout in Vic Park has been built entirely on spec, with no off-plan sales, and no opportunity to buy until completion.

So how have we ended up just a couple of months from opening this landmark that will not only be home to downsizers, first home buyers, upgraders and tenants but also to the legendary Boston Brewing Co.?

In 2011, following the completion of our second apartment project along Albany Highway we relocated our offices from Ascot to East Victoria Park.

We were sold on the fact that the Vic Park precinct had so much potential and we wanted to immerse ourselves in the area on a daily basis.

We have passionately believed in the Albany Hwy strip for more than a decade and in that time have seen it emerge as one of Perth’s most vibrant and eclectic retail and dining precincts.

Having first contacted the Fowler Group more than 8 years ago, initially to buy some land from them, our Development division was ultimately engaged to conceive and deliver a landmark project at their significant land holding on the corner of Albany Highway and Miller Street.

Hillam Architects were also engaged to design the building and Vic Quarter was born.

In October, with great excitement, we will be handed over the completed building from PACT Construction and we will officially commence the sales campaign.

The long term tenure of land ownership coupled with an optimum time to design and build, when market forces dictated most other developers couldn’t, has resulted in what we believe to be an extraordinary offering.

Vic Quarter compromises of 101 studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments, plus 4 exclusive penthouses set amongst three resort style leisure decks, including a pool and gym.

Internally the apartments have an exceptional level of finishing. Full height glazing accentuates the feeling of light and space in these generously sized apartments.

Such is the excitement of the offering we have taken over 700 registrations of interest generated entirely from onsite signage and word of mouth.

Next week some localised marketing begins with the full campaign to commence in September.

The vast majority of interest to date has come from Vic Park locals looking to downsize, upgrade or purchase their first home. We are certain of a very high percentage of Owner Occupiers and our marketing campaign will be focused on the local market.

The VQIP process has been set up to allow us to work through the registrations of interest ahead of the public launch, affording those motivated to study the plans and sign an Expression of Interest, the opportunity of a private tour of the completed building ahead of the public launch.

Furniture has been ordered to set up 5 display apartments plus a penthouse and this week a model of the entire building will arrive.

At this stage it is likely we will commence the VQIP onsite private tours at the very beginning of October with the public launch shortly thereafter.

We are unsure whether there has ever been a building of this size and prominence built to completion ahead of a single sale and we genuinely believe this will afford the astute Buyer a very unique opportunity.

On paper, Vic Quarter adds up to one tempting proposition that spoils you for choice. In reality, it’s even better.
