Whatley Apartments – Development Update March 2016
The building is fast approaching completion with hopefully only a month left of construction.
Externally the painting has been completed and so have the storerooms and carport. Work has started this week on preparing the car park with the bitumen being laid next week. The boundary fence will also be rendered and painted in the coming weeks.
Internally all of the stone benchtops and glass splashbacks have been installed. The has allowed the electricians to start fitting off all of the kitchen’s powerpoints and the dishwasher and stove will be installed in the coming weeks. All of the bathrooms and bedrooms have also been completed. The only outstanding items in the apartments is the laying of the carpet/floorboards and the installation of the balcony balustrading.
In addition to the outstanding items above, the focus over the last month of construction will be to hang the wooden façade at the building’s entrance, complete the landscaping and undertake a final clean of the building and grounds.
The builder has advised that they are still on schedule to complete construction by the start of May with settlements to occur 6 to 8 weeks later.
