Celsius Living Champion Lakes – Final Titles Issue

A fortuitous conversation in a park during the midst of covid resulted in the creation of Celsius Land as Brenton Downing joined the group. Back in mid 2020 we started looking for land to acquire at a time when no-one was buying land in Perth as inventories of all developers remained full. We acquired our first land development site in Champion Lakes in late 2020 and by late 2021 it felt like most developers had re-entered the acquisition phase following very strong demand as a result of the government stimulus packages.

This month the final 50 titles issued in that very first Celsius estate, resulting in the creation of over 100 lots of land that have been very well received into the local market by a majority of owner occupiers. What has impressed me is just how quickly houses have been completed in the first stage of Champion Lakes as well as our Piara Waters development that sold out and completed in 2025.

For context Celsius acquired the first parcel of land in our North Perth development, Alma Square in mid-2018 and now that we are well and truly under construction we anticipate the completion of 108 apartments in the first quarter of 2028. The main takeaway is that Perth demand for housing well and truly requires a combination of both land subdivision and infill-built form. Celsius is proud to have cemented itself as a Developer that is not just passionate about housing choice, but well and truly delivering across the housing continuum.

Whilst we remain passionate about the delivery of infill housing and are working hard to get our next apartment projects comprising over 220 apartments out of the ground in Montario Quarter Shenton Park, we have seen significant growth in our land division.

Sundrift Exmouth is being developed on behalf of the Fowler Group and we expect titles in the first 100 lots in early 2027 bringing the first substantial increase in housing to Exmouth in nearly two decades.

In the regions we are also working on opportunities in Quindalup and more recently Geraldton in collaboration with the City of Greater Geraldton. Regions are crying out for additional supply to support their growing economies and Celsius feels compelled to pursue these challenging opportunities. Regional housing supply generally requires support from all stakeholders and it is pleasing to see all levels of government engaged in trying to bring housing to life.

Closer to home we have recently entered contracts to develop land in both Seville Grove and Dayton as we look to replenish our pipeline with over 300 future lots of land.

So whilst the market takes a breather as consumer confidence takes a beating, Celsius understands the fundamentals with regards to supply and demand have not altered. No-one is leaving Perth and demand for skilled workers remains at record highs. With this in mind and a passion to ensure everyone has the opportunity to place a roof over their head, Celsius will continue full steam ahead to deliver housing choice across both Perth and the regions.

Finally a big shout out to the team in working diligently to create a new improved Celsius website which went live on Friday. Feel free to take a look and let us know if there is anything we can assist you with.

All the best

Richard
