Lucent Claremont nears completion with just 2 apartments unsold!

We are so excited to see Lucent Claremont come to life just three years from acquisition of the land and we look forward to welcoming the residents into the building in February 2021. Forming the view early that we would design the most spacious apartments in the smallest building in the precinct we went about establishing what the actual Buyer wanted in an apartment in Claremont. Our “Design you own Apartment” campaign was incredibly successful in helping us to learn about the needs and desires of local rightsizers and Tom and the Hillam team did a great job massaging the plans as we moved through the Development Approval phase. Of course we were gaining valuable market intel which we look forward to rolling out in our future apartment projects. Jaxon Construction were engaged as the Builder and understood from the outset that Buyer orientated changes would be welcomed wherever possible. The result being an outstanding building with very engaged and excited Buyers who can’t wait to call Lucent home, along with a few grey hairs across those working on the project from all companies involved.

We are so proud of our development team, especially Matt Evans and Andrew Peirce who have worked alongside our consultants from inception to deliver our first Western Suburbs project. At Celsius we take a lot of pride in being intimately involved in the detail to ensure that we are creating homes the occupants will love and enjoy for years to come. Tim Grose and I have had the privilege of working alongside our Buyers from inception getting to know them and their future home requirements. Whilst we may be at the coalface, the entire Celsius team backs us up through the journey. This is not an easy process and we don’t pretend to get it right all of the time however we certainly put every ounce of effort in doing the very best job we can.

Lucent comprises of just 40 oversized apartments in the heart of Claremont, surrounded by amenities of every possible description. From world class shopping and dining on your door step to parks, ovals, gyms, swimming pool, golf courses, tennis centre and everything in between. Not to mention the public transport with the Claremont train station presently being upgraded to cater for higher frequency peak time trains to and from the CBD and ultimately a ride straight through to Perth airport when the airport station opens and we are allowed to travel again.

Of the 38 sales to date we welcome 35 Owner Occupiers including a majority of local “right sizers”, a few young professionals and just 3 Investors. We have also sold the two commercial lots on the ground floor, one taken up by a local beautician and the other to be leased out to a lucky tenant. Claremont Football Club have been provided with a number of car bays on the ground and first level basement whilst residents will enjoy fully secure parking in either the lower basement or on level one. Lucent includes a wonderful community space on level two comprising an indoor resident lounge and dining area with full kitchen and scullery and an alfresco area including outdoor seating, pizza oven and BBQ overlooking Claremont Oval. This way residents can mingle whilst watching a game of footy, meet an acquaintance for a coffee without tidying their home or book a function for a special occasion.

Jaxon expect to achieve practical completion in the coming weeks and then we work through the process of checks and clearances ahead of being able to lodge for individual titles. Whilst in the hands of a number of government agencies we are confident we will achieve titles by February 2021 at which time we can welcome our new residents into their homes.

2020 has been a year like no other and one we will never forget.
