Keystart Important Announcement – Change in Income Limits
Keystart is increasing the maximum income limits for their low deposit home loan for the second half of the 2019 calendar year.
The income limits will increase by $15,000 for singles and couples and by $20,000 for families for first and subsequent homebuyers and are effective from 1 July 2019.

When combined with Keystart’s overall policies this provides an ideal opportunity to achieve home ownership.
- No genuine savings deposit requirement.
- No mortgage insurance – a saving of up to $14,291 on a property purchase @ $450k.
- Minimum of 2% total deposit required.
- New property qualifying for First Home Owners Grant Cash back of $10k (for those eligible for FHOG).
Why are Keystart making these changes?
Keystart is increasing the income limits in support of the State Government’s policy to assist more Western Australians into home ownership. By expanding the eligibility criteria, the government estimates that around 11,000 additional households will qualify to apply for Keystart finance.
When are the changes effective from?
The increased income limits will be available to all applicants who enter into sales contracts to purchase an established property or build a new home from 1 July 2019 until 31 December 2019. Keystart will accept applications based on the revised income limits from today, including those where a contract of sale or building contract has been signed. For applicants whose income is within the higher range (e.g. $90,001 – $105,000 for Singles or $115,001 – $130,000 for Couples etc.) settlement cannot occur prior to 1 July 2019 and up until 31 December 2019. Fees, charges and conditions do apply.
