Park Terraces – July 2021 Update

With one of the wettest July’s ever recorded in Perth, progress was very slow onsite. The critical path is to get the second level brickwork completed so the roof can be constructed. However, with the large amount of rain this week the bricklayer was only able to complete most of the party walls between terraces one to six and virtually none of the walls between terraces seven to twelve. To make things even worse, one of the partially completed party walls blew down in the severe storm that occurred on the night of Monday 26th July.

On the ground level, work continued on the internal timber frames and on the first level the electrician commenced pre laying their services in the walls.

The builder desperately needs some rain free days so the brickwork can be completed to allow the roof and windows to be installed so the building can be made water tight.

Unfortunately, the constant rain has resulted in approximately an additional two weeks to be lost on the program, with practical completion now likely to be late February/early March.

I look forward to updating you next month, but in the meantime should you have any queries please feel free to contact me on (08) 6144 0700 or 0451 533 440.
